Summary of the 1st Show of the Interior design and the architecture of Mountain

SIIAM1st SIIAM : PROMISES KEPT !

The first edition of the SIIAM, show dedicated to the trends of the housing environment and the internal and outside lifestyle in mountain WHICH TOOK PLACE on June 24-25th and 26th in Megève KEPT ALL ITS PROMISES.

The society Eventicîmes, organizer of the SIIAM, with the architect Isabelle Dieu, Katia and Jean-Michel Niederhoffer, Marie Ferraro-Bourlière, creators of the first show of the housing environment-decoration and the gardens in mountain managed of their bet to organize a leading demonstration in the village of Megève.140 international exhibitors answered present for this first edition which welcomed 9 500 visitors come from four corners of the world (Belgium, Mexico, Japan, Switzerland, Italy, United Kingdom)

Of high-end location, the show presented numerous prestigious brands: Antonio Lupi, Fritz Hansen, Jacuzzi, Fantini, Equinox, Dornbracht, Light Delta, Lea Ceramiche, Niko, Quantum Glass, Baccarat, Aquamass, Duravit, Fantini, Hansgrohe, the group P, Kozac, Victoria + Albert, Verda New Zealand Ltd…

Friday reserved for the professionals (architects, craftsmen, promoters, engineers, decorators) set the tone at once because from this first day the exhibitors showed their satisfaction and their desire to renew their participation in the next edition.

Jean Noël Picot, architect, president of the Steering committee of the SIIAM organized conferences which gathered pioneers “icons” of the architecture of mountain and those of future such as Guy Rey-Millet, Jacques Labro, Christophe de Laage, Jean-Michel Landecy, Philippe Meïer and in the field of gardens with the architect-landscape painter Alain Halska and the journalist-photographer Snezana Gerbault.

“The gardens of the SIIAM ” were three idyllic days in front of the Chalet St Amour situated in full center of Megève with around thirty exhibitors. The kitchen garden, the garden of water, trees, shrubs, the fruiterers, the long-lived, the plants of collection were represented to fill the amateurs of garden, by nursery gardeners and horticulturalists among the ” fine flower “.

The SIIAM want to thank the city of Megève and all the partners who supported the creation of this first biennial event and makes an appointment with all in June, 2013 for the second edition.
